So slight of a change if there really is one you can't even notice. its not playing more then its lowest quality would even though people are paying double the price! Simply watching the colors change on their dac. Thats probably why Tidal sounds like shit compared to all the other services. I trie to start a thread discussing this simply asking if it is a problem with my account. AH man, how many thousands of people are getting robbed by Tidal? Disgusting. Switching from ultra hd (highest) to data server (lowest) and IMMEDIATELY heard a difference within seconds of playing a track the first time. I kept going back and forth for 10 minutes switching and replaying tracks on tidal I couldn't hear a dam difference.

Tidal is a Con!!! Stay away from the service, everything about it is horse manure. Literally NONE!!!! When I compare Amazon's lowest quality vs its highest there is a very noticeable difference in audio. OMG> There is no difference in quality on Tidal between Normal (lowest quality) vs Master (highest quality). Not only that I like how amazon just lets you shuffle your whole dam library even by artist or album if you want to. Some artists and albums were Missing pictures. A couple albums I listen to on Amazon I couldn't find on tidal. I think on the whole amazon has a bigger library for my stuff, easier to organize.

But they kept glitching and freezing lmao. One thing tidal had over amazon is some exclusives, like some video commentary on albums not available on amazon. Can that be right? Seems like I'm simply paying more then double the price to watch the colors change on my dac but getting poorer sound quality. It works, but I was surprised the same songs in amazon ultrahd sounded better then on tidal mqa. Just subscribed to tidal to test out my ifi zen dac with true bit-perfect mode. Everybody's experience is going to vary and I guess I had a real high expectation bias given the price and hype.

MQA studio verified tracks do sound better to me then amazon hd 16/44.1 files. One poster commented tidal is less fatiguing.Īnd I guess the other deciding factor is the specific tracks you are listening to and what masters are on each service like other posters have commented. But amazon has more clarity, better imaging and usually better soundstage imo. Either by sound signatures where Tidal usually has more bass, sounds warmer and fuller. I guess it all comes down to personal preference really.
